- INDIRA GANDHI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DELHI (IGIA) –Situated in the capital, IGIA is the largest Cargo Airport in the country and South Asia. The Airport handled 9,55,860 metric tonnes volume of freight at the end of the financial year 2019-2020. It is also the busiest airport in India in terms of passenger
traffic. - CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MUMBAI(CSMIA) – Situated in the financial capital of India is on the consortium with the GVK Industries Ltd. It is a Public-Private partnership venture. The volume of freight handled is 8,63,780 metric tonnes in 2019-2020.
- KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, BENGALURU – Opened in
2008, it is owned and operated by Bengaluru International Airport Limited(BIAL), a Private Public Consortium. It is a fully solar-powered airport. The volume handled is 3,740,60 metric tonnes in the last financial year. - CHENNAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CHENNAI- Being one of the first Airports in India, is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). In the financial year 2019-2020, the Airport handled 3,55,190 metric tonnes.
- NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, KOLKATA–In India, this Airport holds the fifth position in terms of passenger traffic and cargo, handling 1,53,470 metric tonnes of freight volume. It is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
