The move will signal the air cargo carrier’s return to dual hub cargo operations in Dubai after an almost two-year break
Emirates SkyCargo’s cargo hub in Dubai South, Emirates SkyCentral DWC, will reopen for dedicated freighter aircraft operations on March 26, 2022. Emirates SkyCargo will restart the cargo hub at DWC to meet global demand
Following an almost two-year hiatus, the air freight carrier will resume dual hub cargo operations in Dubai. In April 2020, Emirates SkyCargo integrated its freighter (main deck) and passenger (bellyhold) cargo operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) due to the stoppage of passenger flights during the early stages of the Covid-19 epidemic. The consolidation’s purpose was to simplify and speed up the shipping of crucial supplies and medical equipment throughout the world.
